　　Al（提姆·麦锡森 Tim Matheson 饰）是个十分被看好的州长候选人，很怕因为他的笨蛋老弟Mike（克里斯·法雷 Chris Farley 饰）蒙羞，于是雇了Steve（大卫·斯佩德 David Spade 饰）来看管Mike以免他出什么乱子，从这一刻起就状况百出、 笑料不断。　　全片就像是一个喜剧大杂烩，让您捧腹大笑，跌破眼镜。

一个明星的诞生1976

 本片是同一故事第三度重拍的版本。此片将好莱坞的背景改成今日的摇滚乐坛，男主角原是着名的摇滚乐歌手，而女主角则在小型夜总会卖艺。影片中有不少热门插曲，部分片段的镜头和表演都不俗，但整体则显得有点矫揉造作，角色欠缺真正的生命感，不过娱乐性还是维持相当水准。本片曾获奥斯卡最佳电影插曲金像奖。
